‘Integration, Football Event’

Progressed from

Barnwell School — GCSE

Statement

This football event was made to integrate women’s and men’s football, by playing in a charity match with both genders, which matches with the theme Integration. This contains multiple advertisements for the football event, player announcements, a team sheet, and a football kit designed from scratch inspired by the style of Les Canallies. The meaning behind this project was to highlight the differences between male and female footballers and what they go through and to bring awareness to the issues with how both genders get treated by being united in one big football match.

Progressed from

Statement

The brief for the Final Major Project (FMP) is the creation of a retail shop window display for the renowned brand NIKE. The central theme of the display revolves around “Women in Sport,” It has been slightly shifted with a particular focus on boxing which is incorporated into the overall concept. The project aims to emphasize the significance of raising awareness about women’s participation in sports and challenging the perception that sports are exclusively male dominated. By showcasing successful female athletes, this initiative aims to break down gender stereotypes and promote gender equality within the realm of sports, encouraging women to engage in various activities. The design approach draws inspiration from the works of artist Kelly Anne, who has notably crafted compelling campaign designs for NIKE, aligning closely with the empowering theme of the project. Through extensive research on Anne’s artistry, her unique style and visual aesthetics have profoundly influenced the project’s designs while maintaining the creator’s individual artistic identity. The integration of elements from Anne’s distinctive approach establishes a direct link between the project’s objectives and the artistic vision outlined in the brief.
