Statement
For my final project I chose to research and create a magazine based on my chosen brand, ASOS. Through carrying out primary and secondary research it allowed me to create multiple different articles and pages relevant to current events and that would be interesting to the target consumers, who would read the magazine. In particular, I have enjoyed researching the MET Gala, looking at the fashions showcased at the event and relating it back to feature in my ASOS magazine.

I created a fashion lifestyle magazine based on the luxury brand Dior. I styled my magazine the way that I did to keep the luxurious image that Dior holds, to attract the right target market. I completed a range of different research to help me create my magazine pages, including surveys, first and secondary interviews with an ex-Dior worker and a Dior customer, this is so the reader could get honest opinions about Dior’s products. Furthermore, I also planned and completed my own photoshoots for my front and back cover and an advert page on Dior jewellery which was the Dior revolution ring. I used Canva to create my magazine.

Statement
For this project I created a detailed magazine based on my favourite fashion designer and brand, Vivienne Westwood. To make this magazine, I researched on how Vivienne Westwood portrays her fashion style in media and real life. I then based my magazine off my research on Westwood and added my own personal touch. Inside this magazine includes interviews from a punk band, exhibition reviews and fashion ‘look books’. I also featured my friend modelling a Vivienne Westwood style outfit on the front cover, back cover, and content spread. My approach for this magazine was to appear to audiences as funky, different, and creative.

The target of my project was to create a magazine based on my chosen brand, Pretty Little Thing. For the magazine I have put together a range of pages and articles which includes primary research from an Exhibition I went to and reviewed, along with many other pages such as articles and conducting both my primary and secondary interviews. Throughout my magazine, I portrayed on what my target audience wants to see in terms of my design choices, and to do this I used a survey which was filled out by individuals who shop at my chosen brand and fit the target age. In many pages of my magazine, I featured many primary images taken in the photograph studio and these included my front and back cover, two of my advertisements. One of my aims when creating this magazine was to include diversity and inclusivity which I think I did successfully as I Included a plus size range page and an article about Lizzo’s new gender affirming shape wear.
