‘Therapeutic Paths’

Progressed from

St Mary’s High School, Cheshunt — A-Levels

Paths take us on journeys, lead us to new and visited places. Paths hold intrigue and force us to make choices. During the lockdown I have taken endless walks around my local woods to help maintain my wellbeing. Taking inspiration from photographic works such as Richard Long’s Line made by walking and Martin Brink’s Walks, I have found that by practicing mindfulness and being surrounded by nature I have been able to keep a positive mind and focus on the future. My images of paths help symbolise decisions that I have had to take and the changing circumstances that have been forced upon me. Some of the paths I took are clear and unwavering whereby others are already starting to fade away or change.
