As well as being a well-known author, Vladimir Nabokov was also a world-renowned lepidopterist. He started to collect butterflies at a young age and eventually had a collection of over 4,000 including around 20 of his own discoveries. My images are a response to the concept of Lepidoptera and the idea of being trapped. My inspiration comes from Nabokov discoveries and the idea of being trapped despite metamorphism. The glass ball signifies imprisonment and the glitch, the current glitch in time.
