‘The Fear of Touch’’

Statement

My project has been based around looking into different phobias linking to the human body, such as  fear of gaining weight (Obesophobia), the fear of touch (Haphephobia) and the fear of being alone (Autophobia). I gained and interesting looking into the why people suffer with Hapheobia and the impact  which formed this painting. This Painting is dedicated to the fear of touch, my aim was to create an uncomfortable experience for the viewer showing distress through the skin being stretched and pulled.
