Combining my research into the topic of sexual objectification, I created a piece documenting how it can occur and its effect on the victim in order to educate and promote discussion on the issue. The lino prints depict sexualised body types portrayed in the media which have now become the beauty standard for women, whilst the eyes symbolise the male gaze. The painted female figure utilises her hands in attempt to shield herself from the objectification taking place, whilst her face is obscured showing how she has been dehumanised and striped of her identity through falling victim to sexual objectification.
