‘The Unnoticed’
Progressed from

Statement
This piece comprises of two parts. The images which form the bodice were taken during lockdown of previously unnoticed surroundings around me that I have discovered due to the social situation. The garment is accompanied by a skirt that is embroidered with anonymous responses to the images of their thoughts about the lockdown situation. This was to reflect the idea that our thoughts are often unheard and therefore unnoticed by others until communicated. By including this element, I hope that the viewer can connect with some of these common feelings which are also reflected in the design of the garment with the bodice being more confined and the skirt being free and flowing.
