Statement

I created a large-scale piece of work using acrylic paint and oil pastels on mdf. I used a pastel colour palette with the main subject being a female naked body. The concept behind it was to show female dependency towards men and the naked female represents a woman in her most vulnerable state. I began by researching artists who use the female form and those who use emotion and colour to represent their own struggles or achievements in their work.
