‘Remember When’
Remember When. Remember when we would touch and feel a loved one Without a window between, Remember when we would go out for hours on end Without a fear in the world, Remember when we would speak to our friends Without a distance between, Remember when we would walk in to our favourite shop Without a queue in sight, Remember when we would shake the hands of a stranger Without a shield, Remember when we would go for a drive Without a question asked, Remember when we would buy what we want Without worrying about the next bill, Remember when we would travel the world Without a rescue flight home, Remember when we would see a rainbow Without a child’s help, Remember when we would watch the news Without the figures rising, Remember when we would always wave goodbye Without knowing it was our last, Remember when this all begun Amy Thorne

Statement
This project explores Mental Health I wanted this work to represent our lives, how they have changed in a short amount of time.”Remember When” is a poem I had written about what once use to be, something that feels long distant in the past as we have come accustomed to lives with live now. The thread symbolising how some of our minds are literally hanging on by a thread and how some of us may never recover from what we have endured, a permanent cut in our lives, never to be what it once was.
