‘Resin Worlds’

Statement

This project is a mixed media work created using resin, paint, acetate sheets, photography and a crystal ball. I created a series of miniature worlds in resin for instance the goldfish in the pond in my garden, the view through a crystal ball of a willow tree and its reflection in a stream, the last one was what I imagined if I my goldfish were whales. Their floating kaleidoscopic appearance made me look at a water biome for each small world as a window into hidden depths, the journey through which I learnt more about resin as a material.
